Why ER

Built to be opened, not sealed shut.

Standard platforms and standard form factors mean a system you can actually service and upgrade over its life — not a device that becomes disposable the moment one component needs replacing.

Platform philosophy

ER systems use standard desktop/workstation platforms — standard memory, standard storage interfaces, standard expansion slots. Nothing is intentionally locked down to force a full-system replacement over a component upgrade.

What that means in practice

Memory, storage, and GPU upgrades are supported by the platform in the general sense that any standard-form-factor system supports them. The specific confirmed upgrade path for your exact configuration is available on request — every product page also carries a per-system upgradeability note where one has been defined.

What we won't promise

We won't promise compatibility with hardware that doesn't exist yet, or guarantee a specific future component will work in a specific current system — that's not something anyone can honestly commit to years in advance. What we will commit to is not using proprietary lock-in to prevent you from trying.
